Police officer

Give your name and date of birth.

Mallika

Mallika Jackson … 12 July 1995.

Police officer

Are you related to John Jackson?

Mallika

Yes john is my step brother.

Police officer

OK, tell me why you think you’ve been asked to come to the station.

Mallika

I haven’t committed any crimes so I don’t know why I’m here.

Police officer

I’m going to ask you some questions about your brother.

The quicker you answer them the quicker you can leave.

Mallika

Why? Is my brother in some sort of trouble?

Police officer

This is the first page of my screenplay which is 3 pages long. I introduce two characters ; Mallika and the police officer and I don't reveal a lot of information about the plot .I decided to use Mallika's character to describe John as a Polite and kind figure in this screenplay because it helps to create more interest in John's character since the audience haven't seen him yet.
